Nicknamed the 'breadbasket of the galaxy', the planet of Panthalassa is one giant freshwater ocean, covered by enormous hydroponic farms. 85% of the human races' food supply comes from Panthalassa.

Panthalassa's populations live on enormous, man-made floating islands. These islands force the planet's inhabitants to live a very spartan lifestyle. Recycling, careful waste management, and being sparing with electricity is essential to life here.

Panthalassa also is home to a very strong tourist and fishing community. As the sole, by definition, ocean in the system (the second largest body of water being the Harold Sea on Threshold, one of Titan's uninhabited moons, and Victory Lake on Shadow), Panthalassa is the destination for many cruise goers. However, to protect the farms in case of a disaster, large sections of Panthalassa are strictly off limits to boaters.
